I'm a Windows user of AT&T's WorldNet service. AT&T provides Netscape and
Eudora Light, both of which are excellent. I have switched to the new
Microsoft browser, which is free (but doesn't run on Macs?), and I went
ahead and bought Eudora Pro.

Why worry about what software AT&T provides? Use whatever you want, just
configure it to your ISP, be it AT&T or whatever. IMHO, AOL software is
HORRIBLE, as is AOL.

I don't mean to sound too serious, but AOL is open to some very stiff,
legitimate criticism. Not too many people with other options stay with them
after the first year or so, because AOL can't compete with the net, and
their access to it is inferior because the connection runs through AOL
instead of being a direct hookup from your computer to the net. And AOL
prices!!! Why not just get an ISP that offers unlimited access for twenty
bucks a month?

Here's a constructive, friendly suggestion: get a browser, any browser you
like, and also get a net connection through AT&T or whoever. Drop AOL. If
you don't know what free browsers are out threre for Macs, ask the list. I
think you'll be glad you made the move away from AOL. Even if you shell out
your hard-earned $$ for a browser and mail program, you will recoup your
expenditure in savings when you drop AOL.
