GEN: Greetings & Support for Librarians/Media Specialists

Hello!  This is a re-sending of a plea from last week!  I received 40
replies - terrific - but I need more to fill the bulletin board.  If you
did not send a greeting before, please send one, I'm really hoping this
will sway thinking.  Also, some of you "flamed" the people who were
silly enough to make these decisions/cuts.  Please don't, as they would
really get offended and dig their heels in deeper I'm afraid.
"I would like to post greetings from as many places around the world as
possible on our bulletin board, walls, etc.  Our school is going thru a
rough time and any and all support for the media center is much needed.
We are a corporation that includes 4 elementary schools, and a jr.-sr.
high.  Both the elementary librarian that traveles to these schools and
I have been given notice that our positions will be Eliminated, and not
be replaced.  What we are most worried about is the students.  The
corporation will keep an aide in the library at each elementary and I
don't know what they plan to do at the jr.-sr. high school level.  The
Technology Director's position is also being eliminated, so perhaps they
will be putting my job and his together.  This would be an impossible
situation, but stranger things have happened.  Anyway, I would like to
show everyone how much support for libraries and media centers there is
world round.  No messages I couldn't post please, that wouldn't help.
