For those of you who may not have heard, Michael Dorris, author of Broken
Cord and Yellow Raft on Blue Water died this morning (an apparent suicide).
He is one of my favorite authors, so I feel like I lost a friend. He just
won the Minnesota Book Award for his YA novel called _Sees Behind Trees_.
He was 53 years old - what a tragic loss.
