ELEM:Thirteen Colonies Web Sites?

Fifth graders at my school are researching the original thirteen
colonies.  Most of the state sites we've looked at contain info. that is
mostly contemporary.  Does anyone know of web sites, written on an
elementary level, that would help these students learn about the
geography, economics, social life, leaders, houses, recreation, etc. of
these colonies in colonial times?
