Somehow I missed this info in library school! Can anyone tell me the standard divisions for a 3-letter alphabetic shelving range? (In my media center, our local call# for fiction is the letter F, followed by the first three letters of the authors last name.) I want to produce some temporary shelf labels on computer, since we recently renovated, & Im not ready to decide on permanent labels. I could rely on common sense, & an understanding of English spelling, but there must be a standard. Id also like to if theres a media reference book which addresses "dumb" questions like this, so I wont have to show my ignorance quite so publicly in future! Thanks for the help.
