Ancient civilizations

        This may be of interest to many of us as well as a
response to Dale Copp's request.  There is a series called Make It Work! History
which includes titles on Ancient Egypt, Ancient Rome etc.
They are distributed now by World Book and also available
through Follett.  The earlier series, Make It Work! Science won
the American Institute of Physics Science Writing Award and I
can hardly wait for the new title on geography.
        Ancient Egypt is full of information, well illustrated
and includes clear and specific directions for hands-on
projects for students.  For example, how to make a falcon
pectoral, how to make  models of an Eqyptian house,boats,
chariots, armor etc. In fact you may want two copies, one for
the professional shelf and one for students.
