MID: AR point values

We are going to begin using Accelerated Reader in our Middle School in an
effort to boost reading for our 6th grade. Classicly, we have many low
readers and reluctant readers. I know the first question teachers are going
to ask me is what to set as a minimum point value for their teams. I know
there is some individuality here, but since I've never done AR before, I
can't get a fix on how much to expect children to read. If you are using
reading teams, what do most of your teams have as a minimum goal? I need to
give the teachers a guideline, and I also have to make plans for what point
levels to allow for the various honors we have planned.
