GEN: Website for bygone eras

Very recently someone posted a website to visit for finding out what was
popular in different years, i.e. cars, music, etc. I think they were
going to use it with a class researching the year their parents were
born (or something like that).

Anyway, I cannot find it now and a teacher is interested in just such a
place.  Can anyone help find this address?
