HIT: Organizing web site addresses Part 3 I have 2500+ links on my pages, and they have been found to be helpful. Just as you would pull resources to make things go faster for researchers, "pull" together the links into a set of starter pages. *** If you have access to a Web server, you can always place your large list of organized bookmarks on the Internet for access by other people. You can also break them into logical groupings and link them together. We have started such work at Peotone High School, although we haven't had a lot of time this year to expand our original work. We hope to refine and add to our collection as the year goes on. You can see our work by going to the PHS homepage: http://www.peotone.will.k12.il.us/ and taking the Reference Desk link. *** Our library web page began as a way to organize my bookmarks and make them available for others to use. We now have 500 plus links and are still growing. This summer I added some links to include the interests of students of all ages as well as other community groups. I use it to teach Internet skills to students and to work with teachers on research units. It is a lot of work but seems to be a good way to promote the resources of Internet in our school system.
