Hi there! My name is Tricia Volore and I'm a student at the University of
Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming. I'm taking a Cataloging and Classification
class right now and for a class project I am trying to gather information
about Cataloging practices around the country. I just have a few basic
questions. I would be so grateful if you would be willing to send me a
message about the cataloging procedures at the library in which you work.
I'm trying to have all my data gathered by Friday, December 5th. I haven't
received very many responses yet but I hope to hear back from you. Thank you
for your time. Here are the questions. Please feel free to add any
pertinent information too!!

1. What is the type of library at which you work? (school, public, univ.,
etc.)
2. Are books classified by Dewey or LC call #s?
3. Is your card catalog computerized or traditional? If computerized, do
you keep
     up-dated traditional catalog too?
4. How do you obtain your cataloging? (order cards from a company, use CIP,
     OCLC, do original cataloging)
5. What do you see in the future of Cataloging?
6. What's your pet peeve about Cataloging?

Thanks for reading this. I know it's kind of a boring email to receive. I
hope to hear from you soon!!
