tech:help:mac printer question

We have a non-networked Epson Color 600 connected to a networked Mac LC 575
that won't print unless Appletalk is turned off. The problem is that
turning off Appletalk disables the Mac's network (ethernet) connection.
I've tried using the modem port, to no avail. Any suggestions?  Also, does
anyone know of any Mac shareware that allows selecting between two printers
more easily than going to the Chooser? Thanks, George.
