Target: Poem identification

        I was telling a teacher freind about this wonderful group and the
way our questions get answered so quickly from this large base of
experience.  One of the types of questions I mentioned was people asking
for the source of obscure line of poetry they remember from their youth.
Wouldn't you know she had one in mind to ask about.
        Do you know the source of this--

        "We're off," the captain shouted as he stagger down the plank...
