There are no "nominated" books for Newbery and Caldecott. Any book
meeting the criteria is eligible. The books being discussed by the
committee members are not disclosed so there is no "list." You can
pretty much figure that any book being widely reviewed and read will be
discussed by the committee. I am a member of the 1997 Newbery Committee
and have read and looked at several hundred books, as have the other 14
people on the committee.
