When I found out that my phone number was on the internet I called the phone
co immediately and got an unlisted number. My address has never been in the
phone book so they don't have it. I also have caller id, if I don't know
who is calling I don't answer. You do not have to publish your address
even if you do publish your phone number. Also I use a PO Box for my
genealogy mail so that I don't have to ever give out my home address to
strangers or long lost cousins.
