OREGON - Ashland area in particular

The illustrator of my book is makng a strong case for me to move to her
area when we come back to the Mainland in a year or two. Can you give me a
clue as to the job situtation in your area? I want to be in a good sized
elemtentary school. Are your librarians born and dying in their positions?
:-)  Are there occassional openings? Is there a teacher's union? Are
librarians involved? Is there a local library association?
