The term "gentlemen's relish' is used in quite a few English novels.
Rosamund Pilcher mentions it in her last book and in two English novels by
Susan Gee the expression is used as having been "spread on toast". Does
anyone know what "gentlemen's relish" is? Could it be some kind of a
marmalade? TIA.
