TAR: Reading support

        My junior and senior hi reading teacher is writing a proposal to
our board of ed to request that her class be extended from one semester
to a full year in length. Can anyone point us to sources for stats and/or
other material that will support her argument that stuents need and will
benefit from more time in reading class at the grade 7-12 level? Your
expert help will be greatly appreciated. TIA!
