Dear Colleagues, An administrator at my school voiced a concern today about the faculty list that is published on our website. He is worried about privacy...afraid that I am putting the people who work at my school at risk for solicitation, phone calls, etc. Is this a concern? Should I have consent from anyone whose name appears on a web page? There are no pictures or any other personal information on the page. What is the norm? I have seen lists of faculty and staff on other websites. Is he acting out of fear of the unknown or does he have a legitimate concern? Please help. What should I do? How should I respond?
