My mother recently spent time volunteering at a Navajo school in Arizona.
When she left, she was asked to locate new material for the school's
classrooms and library. Mom has asked me to help and I don't know where
to turn. The school especially needs books that portray Indian children
and Indian life in a positive fashion (like Knots on a Counting Rope and
Annie and the Old One) I would like ideas from your collective wisdom!
TIA

Dear LM_NETters:
We are beginning the process of requesting automation in our district. The
two companies commonly used in our BOCES are Follett and Mandarin. Would
like to hear about your experience with these companies, specifically:
--Amount of training needed to learn the system
        --Ease of use after training
--Handbook with easy to understand directions
--Suitability of use by both elementary and high school students
--Good support by company after installation...phone number, knowledgeable
                assistance with problems that arise

Any information that you can send will be greatly appreciated!

Send directly to me at palib@aol.com
I will post a hit if people express an interest.
