Hi all,

Further to the thread  about Apple, Australia's leading newspaper,
the Sydney Morning Herald (http://www.smh.com.au) ran a story today
(13th Jan) which said that the CEO of Apple recently announced a
plan to turn the ailing company around. It hinged on "gradually
moving users .. to a brand new operating system.. code named
Rapsody, based on technology acquired through the purchase of Steve
Job's company NeXT Inc."

It is estimated that the new OS could take 18 months to appear and
" to avoid losing existing customers, Apple will continue developing
its existing System 7 operating system."
