HS-Honors Program Question

     I am on a District Improvement Committee.  We are considering
limiting Honors courses to the core areas (math, language, science,
social studies).  If you have time to answer the following questions
would you please do so.
Does your campus have Honors Band, Drama, etc.
Do you know why or why not?
Do you know of any studies pro or con having to do with which courses
have Honors credit.
I am an Elementary School Librarian.  I wanted a broader picture than my
district, so I am asking the world!  Thanks in advance.
