Bart said re ban on faxes:
>"Please insure that all team members are informed of this reminder
>immediately and that this work rule is adhered to all times.

I got two comments about what was assumed to be a "tongue-
in-cheek" use of the term "teams" by Bart Kane while he was in
the process of oppressing his staff. Unfortunately, he was dead
serious. As soon as he went on his "re-engineering jag and
"decentralized" his libraries, he started referring to the staff in
each library as "Team This" and "Team That"......See Laurel
Indalecio's comments in my recent post: "Librarians in Hawaii
Speak Out: #3".

Pat:
I'm no lawyer, but it seems to me such monitoring falls under the
category of harassment, especially if a class of individuals is being
singled out. But the problem here is much bigger, for such practice
indicates a betrayal of the trust contract required between employer and
employee.
