School Uniforms

Hi Everyone,
        This may not pertain to many of you, but I sit on our School
Improvement Team and we are considering mandating uniforms for the school.
We are a public school and we have several questions.  Does your school
mandate uniforms (school-wide or county-wide)?  What type of uniforms
(vendor or generic)? How do you enforce public school children to abide?
Are there laws that prohibit enforcing this (if so please list)?  Are there
laws allowing school systems to enforce uniforms (if so please list)?  Any
information you can send will help in our decision making.  Thank You!
