As I understand it, you just can't say the name while in the theatre....
Hmmmm, kind of goes with "break a leg", I guess (you aren't supposed to say
"good luck" to an actor because somewhere in the theatrical past, someone
did just that and she fell and broke her leg).

Theatre quirks, I love 'em  :)
