Target: Alternative Scheduling

My principal asked me to do some research on alternative scheduling for
secondary schools.  He wants examples of alternative schedules as well as
evaluations of how they are working.  If your school operates on an
"alternative schedule" (meaning any schedule except the traditional periods
1 through 6 or 7)
can you please give me some information about it?  Also, where would I look
on the internet for information like this?  He would like opinions from the
staff who work with the schedule (like librarians) as to how they like it,
what problems they encounter, etc.  Thanks in advance.
