We just had a question come up on the copyright law.

Specifically, the music and drama dept want to do a musical review in the
spring. They want to put their own together. They will purchase the sheet
music for the songs they want to perform.

Will they be in violation of the copyright law in performing these songs at the
review? Will it make any difference if the performance is a school, offering
free or selling tickets?

Have you had this type of situation?
