There was a discussion of it on tonight's Fresh Air radio show (with Terry Gross, on public radio). She was interviewing Bill Labov, the Penn linguist who did a lot of pioneering work on Black English in the early 70s. You might be able to get a tape or transcript of the show from your local public radio station, if they carry Fresh Air (which is nationally syndicated).
