Maureen, I would be glad to share my thoughts on the future of librarian/meida specialists with you. Before I do though,where did you ever come up the thought that we are or could be "worn out teachers"? My bachelor degree is in school librarianship with a double major in English. My masters is in educational media. I am in my 50's so I am sure that those graduating today are being well educated in today's technology. For many librarian/media specialists that have been around for awhile, we rely on workshops, inservices, and course work to gain the skills needed for the new wave of information. There are times when I feel totally overwhelmed but my supervisor tries to provide the assistance needed to do what our job requires. This is an exciting time to be in the "library/media" business.
