GEN: Net tips for newbies

I have been accepted to present a session on "Net Tips for Newbies" at
the Connected Classroom Conference in Anaheim in November.  I want to
make sure I cover the "good stuff".  What three to five things would you
want to know as someone who has been online for less than 6 months.
