I am working on my MLIS at URI and I need to collect opinions of people in
the field.  I know that asking for this kind of information is somewhat of an
imposition but if you could give me your thoughts on these question I would
be grateful.  I need the answers as soon as possible (of course).
        I have been doing a lot of thinking and research on the attraction young
adults feel for horror fiction.  These questions have come to my mind :
        Why do young adult readers love horror, vampire, and gore stories?
        If almost all the of the victims are young girls, what does this say to the
reader?
        Are there any reasons to encourage young adults to read horror stories and
should the school library provide them?
