Friends: My recent inability to trash certain folders (because they were "locked" or because I did not have sufficient "access privileges," has been solved, thanks to LM_NET. I did two things: unchecked the Protect System and Application Folder boxes in the Performa Control Panel, and held down the Option key while performing some of the operations. One or the other fix managed to trash the stuff I wanted to get rid of (and empty the trash afterwards). I'm getting there, but I don't think you'll ever see an "I Luv the Mac" bumper sticker on my car. (Just starting to work with Windows 95 and--my Billiophobia notwithstanding--I am impressed.) -Dale -- Dale Copps, dcopps@wcsu.k12.vt.us Librarian, Wardsboro & Winhall (VT) Elementary Schools http://www.wcsu.k12.vt.us/~winhall http://www.wcsu.k12.vt.us/~wardsboro =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= To quit LM_NET (or set NOMAIL or DIGEST), Send an email message to: listserv@listserv.syr.edu In the message write either: 1) SIGNOFF LM_NET or 2) SET LM_NET NOMAIL or 3) SET LM_NET DIGEST For more help see LM_NET On The Web: http://ericir.syr.edu/lm_net/ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
