>8-10yrs Time, Newsweek, US News and world report (and of course National >geog to the 40's) As a geography teacher in my previous life(g), I wonder about the usefulness of a national geographic magazine of the 40's. Would you keep an encyclopedia from that date? Students can get some strange ideas about life in other countries from reading such old material even if there are wonderful pictures. I inherited a library where nothing was thrown out but now throw out all magazines over 5 years old. The exception is national geographic which I currently hold back to 1980.
