Right on, Mike!! Eloquently said. I have been a member of ALA since the
early 70s (gosh, that's a long time), and I feel certain that without
ALA/AASL I would be in an entirely different line of work. That support was
there when needed.
We say we are a profession, but there are a lot of librarians out there that
seem to want to work in total isolation -- is that professional?
