Hi Kathleen,

I can offer some explanation. Since there are 5 days in the school week,
.2 means a 1/5 time position or 1 day per week; .6 would be 3/5 or 3 days
per week. When I went back to working after a maternity leave, our system
had created a .6 or 3 days per week position in a smaller school, so I
took it because it was a good schedule to have with a baby. My baby is
now 16 years old and I have been full-time for 10 years now.
