dynix conversion

We will be upgrading our version of dynix  scholar this coming school year.
We are on a mini computer with 8 schools.
We ar on phone lines with multiplexing now, but have boon wired and will
probably go through network in new conversion. Anyone convert in the last
year have any advise ?
What files did you have converted?  and is there any file or anything you
wish now you had done differently?
Please in your response, tell me what platform you are using.
