Alexandria Users - Help!

Dear Fellow Alexandria Users:
        If you have used the portable barcode reader for inventory, your
comments would be very helpful.  We are using the portable for the first time
today.  When we scan the books, some do not scan properly.  However, we do not
know this until we download and see the misses.  We called Tech. Support.  They
said it was just a matter of technique.  Does anyone have any suggestions?
