King books

All of my King books have either worn out or disappeared.  Since my
building is 6-12 I have a real concern about replacing them.  I personally
don't like horror books, but my patrons do.  If you like King, and I was to
purchase 5 of his books, which ones should I get?  (I would probably get
the perma-bound ones)

What other authors other than Stine would you suggest for 6-8th graders
that like horror but that won't have parents beating down my doors.
