My superintendent authorized me to post this to LMNET. The current librarian at Smith-Cotton High School is retiring at the end of this school year. Smith-Cotton High School is located in Sedalia, Missouri. Smith-Cotton has about 1200 students. Sedalia is a small city of 20, 000 located about 80 miles east of Kansas City, Missouri. There are about 16, 000 books in the collection. The librarian who is retiring has been in charge of the print collection. The media specialist (me) has been in charge of the non-print materials and the equipment. The library assistant is also retiring and that position will also have to be filled. If interested, you may submit a letter of interest to: Mr. Bob Griffey, Superintendent of Schools, 400 W. 4th, Sedalia, MO 65301. If someone has some specific questions about the Smith-Cotton High School Media Center, I would be happy to try and answer them for you.
