SEC:?Keep backfiles of CQ, Facts on F. for how long

I am reshelving my library. How far back do people keep sources like CQ
Researcher (formerly Editorial Research Reports), Facts on File, career
information, etc. Does anyone have Great Contemporary Issues and how old
a set? Do you keep the 70's and 80's sets? Is there are recent set?

In a related question, what are you all doing with information on the
Soviet Union? When you get books on the new Russia, or the independent
states, do you get rid of the Soviet Union stuff?

I will post a hit that summarizes what I find. I am posting this on Wed.,
