GEN: Student Management

My principal is very impressed with the response I get from this
listserv compared to the administrator's listserv he is on.  He has
asked me to ask LM_NET members the following:


Have any of your schools created forms using Microsoft Office programs
like Access or Excel for attendance, scheduling, gradebook or to create
a shared database of student information?  If so, would you be willing
to share a copy of the file?  (We are finally networked.  He wants to
streamline office tasks and create one student database for counselors,
attendance clerks, etc to use.  Right now a lot of work is being
duplicated in the different offices.  Our request for funds to purchase
a ready-made school management program was shot down.  Of course, this
was after we'd spent many hours searching for and reviewing various
programs.)

We'd appreciate any help or suggestions.
