LM_NETters: The administration here would like to curtail mostly all videos, even when they're used to reinforce the reading of literature. After several years of building up our film library with titles that complement books and stories that the teachers teach, I'm a little discouraged that we may be prevented from using this medium. I've presented my case for visual literacy, even offering to demonstrate ways films can be integrated into the curriculum. There's still some resistance and feeling that films are just babysitters. Any thoughts, ideas, examples how your school uses videos in an instructional setting would be greatly appreciated. I need more ammo!!
