TECH: Netscape freezes

We now have our school completely wired for the Web, and our teachers have
had inservice.  Wouldn't you know it, though -- now that people are excited
about surfin', our ocean keeps freezing up!  Specifically, the first time
we open Netscape on our Macs on a given day, everything is OK -- but if we
quit and re-open Netscape at another time that day, everything freezes up;
the mouse will not work, and the only thing we can do is reboot.  Does
anyone have a reason -- and/or a solution?  TIA!
