We have a combination of At Ease and Foolproof. I like At Ease the best.
Supposedly there is a way to break into it, but our kids haven't found it
yet.

I hate Foolproof. On the Mac the hard drive and network icons all show, as
well as the cd icons and the trash. The kids go exploring and that makes
me REALLY nervous! With system 7.5.3 they can drag the icon over onto the
launcher screen to make a new button, so I am constantly having to do
"housekeeping" and clean off the launcher. I doesn't disable the notepad
or sticky notes, so I had to remove those from the apple menu as the kids
saved nasty comments.

It also won't let you use the "hide background" command, to keep the hard
disk and server areas out of sight (out of mind!)

Incidentally, I had to set up the launcher myself. On foolproof there
isn't that neat applications screen with the buttons that At Ease has. The
launcher is built in to the hard disk, but it's something you have to put
together, unlike the performas, which use a more elegant launcher.

Please post a hit with your replies...I'd be interested in hearing about
anything better!
