TARGET: Middle: humorous books for 8th graders

One of my 8th grade reading teachers is thinking about doing a reading
unit of humorous novels.  In doing some preliminary looking at booklists
there don't seem to be too many that are really 8th grade level.  Can
any of you recommend humorous books for 8th graders?  I'll post a hit of
responses.  If there are any adult books which would be suitable, I'd
like those too.
