Brunswick County Public Schools has an opening for a middle
school/junior high library media specialist. Russell Junior
High School has 588 students and 54 faculty. The library media
specialist has a full time aide. The library is automated
(Winnebago) and has dial in internet access. The school and the
LMC are networked and have a cdrom tower. Cable and satellite
are also available throughout the building.

Brunswick County is a rural county located on the border of
North Carolina and Virginia. We are approximately an hour and
half from the beach and the same to the mountains. Beautiful
Lake Gaston forms the southern border of the county and is a
hot spot for nature loving retirees up and down the east
coast. There is a flourishing public library in the county seat,
an active literacy council and a
strong emphasis on reading in the k-12 setting.

Russell Junior High is looking for an energetic individual who
wants to take charge of a program and truly make a difference
in children's lives. Their faculty and administrators are
excited about working with a top notch library media
specialist. Professional development opportunities abound for
the right individual.

Salary commensurate with experience. Applicants must have a
Virginia certificate or meet criteria for certificate and have
endorsement or meet criteria for position endorsement. This
position will be open until filled. Please request an
application from
