Every time a class comes in to the media center, I have a line of kids at the desk wanting us to check for them to see if they have a book out." YOU BET YOUR BOOKMARKS THEY DO! I have several students in each class that comes to the media center who ask the same thing--and these are 6th-7th-8th grade students! We are on Winnebago and I do as you do--change the date a day ahead so it lists ALL the books that are both due and overdue. I wish Winnebago would revise their system so it prints a list that includes both without having to go into the system and change the date. This would be especially helpful sine the rule in our media center is that you don't check out anything else until you return, or pay for, anything you have that is already overdue or due on that day. Still, it beats the "olden days" when students had to write their names and their homeroom teachers' names on a checkout card that I had to file by date. What a nightmare THAT was! <G> JJ -- --/ JJ Towler, Library Media Specialist ___ //\ ____/ /\( jjtowler@pen.k12.va.us __/@ | |\ ))( )___ )__ Bill, MVP (Most Valuable Partner) \___ | | \ jj// | / Guenevere, the effervescent Arabian \ / |\ | Gypsy, the vivacious Weimaraner http://pen.k12.va.us/Anthology/Div/Albemarle/Schools/ Henley/ClassPages/Towle/home.shtml ------------------------------------------------------------------------ /\/\/\/\/\ CROZET--BY THE BLUE RIDGE MOUNTAINS OF VIRGINIA /\/\/\/\/\
