I think the book in question is _More Fun with Dick and Jane_, text and illustrations by Marc Gregory Gallant, published by Penguin Books, 1986. Here is part of the intro: ...an all-new primer written for the millions of people who readily recall that immortal line: "See Spot run." In this new book, the principal characters ...have grown up. Dick, now almost forty, is a systems engineer for a public utility. Married to Susan, a minor character from the original series, Dick is a quiet, well-meaning father to three boys -- Brad, Rick and Adam. Here is the first story: SEE IT GO UP Look, look!" said Brad. "Look at my stunt kite. See it go up. Up, up, up. Adam said, "Oh, Brad. Your stunt kite is rad. Totally rad!" "Oh, yes!" said Rick. It is rad. Brad said, "Oh, look! Look at my stunt kite. It is coming down. It is coming down fast. Hurry! We must find it." Oh, oh, oh!" said Brad. "Look at Father. He is wearing my stunt kite." "Oh, Brad!" said Adam. "Father is grossed out." There is a vocabulary list in the back of the book of all words not used in any previous program. -- Johanna Halbeisen Woodland Elementary School(K-4) Southwick, Mass jhalbei@k12.oit.umass.edu =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= To quit LM_NET (or set NOMAIL or DIGEST), Send an email message to listserv@listserv.syr.edu In the message write EITHER 1) SIGNOFF LM_NET 2) SET LM_NET NOMAIL or 3) SET LM_NET DIGEST For more help see LM_NET On The Web: http://ericir.syr.edu/lm_net/ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
