HIT: Author of poem (Well, not exactly)

Dear everyone,
    My original request was for the author of this poem:

    The more your read, the more you know.
    The more you know, the smarter you grow.
    The smarter you grow, the stronger your voice
    When speaking your mind or making your choice.

    Everyone who responded had seen the poem the same place I had seen
it--on shirts, cups, bookmarks, etc., produced by WonderStorms.  (One
person had also seen it quoted in Jim Trelease's book.)  Nobody was able
to give me the name of the author.
    I finally called WonderStorms.  A very pleasant person there told me
that WonderStorms owns the poem; it was written by someone on their
staff.  All of the stuff with the poem on it has been discontinued, and
anyone who wants to use the poem is welcome to do so.  All they ask is
that we credit WonderStorms with "Poem courtesy of WonderStorms."
     I originally needed the information because I wanted to use the
poem on a bulletin board.  I expanded the idea, though, and put each
line of the poem on a huge banner for our Library Club members to carry
down the street during the Catfish Festival Parade in our little town.
(Yes, there really is a festival celebrating the existence of catfish.)
The WonderStorms woman loved it!
