I am experiencing this all the time and it is driving me nuts.
They even think that Information Finder (World Book) is magical. A
student came Friday and wanted to use the Internet. I said, "What are
you looking for?" Her answer -- a map of France.

What are we to do? I try my best to direct them to books first,
then use the internet or other electronic resource when we cannot find
the answer, or for additional information.

Now one thing I must say, I do not know what we would have done
without the Internet the last two weeks when finding information on
Georgia Congressmen and Representatives. The poor kids have to write ten
pages on an assigned Senator or Rep. Thank God for Home Pages and for
Congressional sites.
