I would have to know where she sent the subscribe command, and the error message that is being sent back to her. Frequently, I see people sending to LM-NET, instead of LM_NET. That will always bounce! ^ ^ * * It is also possible that her e-mail configuration is not properly set up. Though that is unlikely since she is with AOL, and they are usually configured properly. One major problem for may folks is that they do not have their return address matching what appears in the header. This often occurs due to misinformation given out by the ISP, or other arcane requirements of e-mail software. This occurs frequently when people switch to a new e-mail software, or from text-based to graphical browsers. In either event, it is absolutely necessary that the return address be the same as that which is used to join. Othewise, the "dumb" listserv software will not recognize you. This also often arises when a person's host server changes the e-mail adress of its users, and then forwards mail address sent to their former adderess. Although they continue to receive mail from LM_NET which is sent to their former address, they cannot post to the group, because their return address is no longer recognized as being on the list of subscribers. Please have your friend send me an e-mail message explaining that she is having trouble subscribing, and I will add her manually. No problem for me. Glad to help out.
